The Drupal User Group Meeting of April 8 took place at amazee-labs. Again, we could enjoy interesting presentations about Google Analytics by Amazee, a News Portal on Drupal 8 (NP8) by MD Systems and a brandnew Drupal 8 website of GPM Switzerland.
First, Laura Hornbake of Amazee Metrics guided us deeply into the world of Google Analytics. She demonstrated how easy data collecting works with Custom Dimensions and the Drupal module Google Analytics and what can be done with the collected data.
Afterwards, Miro Dietiker (miro_dietiker) and Sascha Grossenbacher (berdir) presented the NP8 Project which was launched with a first public instance a few weeks ago. They showed the backend of NP8 and which modules and features are ready to be used. Click here for the presentation.
At the end, Tassilo Gröper (pheadeaux) und Rainer Friederich of GPM Switzerland gave insights about their first Drupal 8 project: the website of Pidas. They created their very first Drupal project with the new Drupal version and it seems they like it already! It was very interesting to getting to know an "outside perspective" about Drupal 8. And of course we are excited that Drupal 8 already cought the interest of non-Drupal developers. We hope that this is just the start of it!
