Translation Management (TMGMT) has reached its largest milestone since the project was started in 2011. We are excited, that Continuous Translation is now a standard feature of TMGMT core. The system can be configured to automatically submit new or updated content to the translation service provider. With a first release candidate, we are closing the current development phase.

Since Drupal 8 has come out, various translation service providers (TSPs) have contacted us either about newly integrating their translation service with Drupal 8 through translation management (TMGMT) or porting their existing Drupal 7 TMGMT plugin to Drupal 8. In addition to these projects, we also have improved the TMGMT Core module and have added some long envisioned features.

The Drupalcon Asia 2016 took place from February 18 - 21 in Mumbai, India. Although MD Systems could not join, we still were present: Augustin Delaporte from platform.sh had a presentation about NP8 and told a wide audience about the success story of our project.

Both parties will dedicate a significant amount of resources within the next 6 months to deliver a valuable standard product for change.

Media management is available for Drupal 8. MD Systems has completed its Media Initiative Program together with Janez Urevc to remove the blockers in many projects. The result is an updated media ecosystem that is ready to use! It fulfills the most relevant needs of Drupal users and sitebuilders. We now have a great base for additional features.

The Translation Management module for Drupal 8 has been released this week. The porting of all Drupal 7 functionality is done and some translators are available already. It’s the perfect moment for translation services providers to get ready for Drupal 8 with our incomparable offer.

Right after the Drupal Camp Vienna, a big group of Drupal developers met at the MD Systems offices to sprint for the Media Initiative. The sprint was a huge success: numerous issues have been resolved, the Media Initiative made a big step and the community showed once again how powerful it can be when everybody pulls at the same strings.

Short after the official release of Drupal 8, a group of MD Systems developers joined the Drupal Camp in Vienna to visit interesting presentations and participate in the sprints to improve Drupal 8.

Today is the day of the long awaited official release of the CMS Framework Drupal 8! After years of development, with numerous developers contributing countless lines of code, it is finally officially released. We completed various projects in Drupal 8 already but we are looking forward to many more!
