Last month our new trainee Anushka arrived to start his traineeship at MD Systems. He will focus mainly on developing contrib modules for Drupal 8 for the usual 6 months.

My second month at MD Systems has come to an end so it’s time for my second blog post.Just like my first month the second month has been a very exciting one, it is really amazing how much I’ve learned and experienced the last couple of weeks

Every few months, the Swiss Drupal User Group takes place at an office of a Swiss Drupal company. This month, Amazee Labs invited the DUG to their offices, and as always, about 20 people from the community found themselves eating, drinking, laughing and discussing interesting Drupal topics and were presented with the latest about Drupal 7 modules like Translation Management Tool (TMGMT), Rules, Redirect, Pathauto or Token and their progress regarding porting to Drupal 8.As DrupalCon in Amsterdam is coming, we had the privilege to get a preview of some of the Swiss Presentations.

Last weekend, the monthly First Friday Sprint took place in the offices of MD Systems. Once again, it was a great success. On Friday and Saturday, a lot of work was done for Drupal 8 modules: Bugs were fixed, tests edited, and releases committed.

I’ve been working at MD Systems as an intern for a month now, It’s amazing how fast time flies by and you don’t even realise it.

On August 1st, I celebrated not only the Swiss national day, but also my first month as an intern here at MD Systems. I arrived from Sweden in the very end of July, and have been hacking along at different Drupal 8 projects since then.

Media is a key topic for most sites. With the major release cycle of Drupal 8, the media initiative faces both huge opportunity and challenges.To account the importance of the Media Initiative in Drupal 8, MD Systems organised a full-week sprint from  21.7. to 25.7. with more than 19 participants from the community.
